Alice Springs Reptile Centre

Alice Springs Reptile Centre

The Reptile Centre is open from 9:30am to 5pm daily, however we recommend that if you are visiting during the winter months (from May to August) then the best viewing time is between 11am and 3pm when the reptiles are most active.


The Gecko Cave is the ideal place to start your visit to the Reptile Centre
. Marvel at the many species of gecko on display that would be almost impossible to see in the wild, then wander through the rest of the live exhibits to get up close to the reptile fauna that dominates our vast Northern Territory landscapes that we live amongst today.

Alice Springs Telegrath Station

The Alice Springs Telegraph Station Heritage precinct is the site of the birthplace of the iconic outback Australian town of Alice Springs. The buildings, dating back to 1871 have been fully restored to showcase life at the Station at the turn of the 20th century. Students can take a step back in time and learn about the early settlement and harsh days when the area operated as one of 12 repeater stations along the overland Telegraph Line between Darwin and Adelaide.
