Camp Cypress Baradine

WELCOME TO CAMP CYPRESS.....(02) 6843 1035

Camp Cypress, in north-western NSW, is located at Baradine, gateway to the vast and intriguing forest of The Pilliga.

Camp Cypress is an ideal base for anyone seeking an escape into the Australian bush. Enjoy bushwalks, scenic forest drives and discover hidden gems like the weatherworn caves. The Pilliga is a birdwatcher’s paradise. Follow some of Baradine’s well-marked Bird Routes and you could spot flocks of glossy black cockatoos coming in to drink at the Salt Caves Dam at sundown.

Spanning over 3,000 sq.kms, the Pilliga Forest constitutes the largest continuous remnant of semi-arid woodland in temperate New South Wales, Australia. The forest contains at least 300 native animal species, and more than 230 species of birds; with at least 22 endangered animal species including the Glossy Black Cockatoo, Squirrel Glider, Koala, Pilliga Mouse and Rufous Bettong.
